Ceiling Installer position entails working in the interiors of buildings installing wallboards to ceilings or to interior walls of buildings. 

Responsibilities
  • Lay out of job per plans
  • Measure and mark the surface according to blueprints and drawings
  • Wire install
  • Wall molding install
  • Nail moldings to the wall to support and seal the joint between the ceiling tile and the wall
  • Mount tile using adhesives
  • Grid install
  • Seismic post install and perimeter clips ( Seismic post depending on deck height this can be one of the 1st things we start )
  • Inspections after all fire mech. & elect are signed off
  • Press tile into place firmly
  • Remove chipped or defective tiles
  • Install ceiling tiles
  • Add tiles for backsplash or decorative touches

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Maintain a valid driver's license 
  • Experience in the construction industry is a PLUS, but we will train
  • Able to climb up and down a ladder, scaffolding and work within the faming of the building
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to job sites within a 40 mile radius
  • Able to perform basic math skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast -paced environment 
  • Able to work independently or with a crew 

Position requires a Drug Test and Motor Vehicle Report to be completed, contingent upon employment. 

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to use common hand tools; including scissors, utility knife, saws, pliers, and stapling hammer
  • Must be able to read job instructions and record materials used per each work/job order
  • Must be able to work in tight places including attics and crawlspaces
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding 
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, and knees
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Work Environment
  • Works in a construction environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.
