a great opportunity for an Estimator in our Tampa, FL headquarters. The Company focuses on large-scale new

construction projects throughout the country; multi-family, residential, senior living, commercial, and government

work.

solutions to customers covering Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Value Engineering,

Responsibilities

Below are some of the items you will be responsible for:

  •  Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company,
  •  Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects
  •  Examine construction drawings and note unusual or challenging conditions,
  •  Expand relationships with builders as the favored point of contact for sales and estimating,
  •  Read and analyze architectural plans and specifications in detail,
  •  Perform material quantity and labor takeoffs from architectural blueprints using software,
  •  Prepare in MS Excel and submit attractive, accurate, and competitive bid packages with pricing options and suggested value engineering possibilities
  •  Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
  •  Solicit and evaluate subcontractor proposals and align scopes of work with bid documents for cost analysis
  •  Prepare and answer preconstruction questions for Production personnel
  •  Review contract documents and recommend scope changes prior to execution
  •  Expand relationships with architects, general contractors, and subcontractors
Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  •  Self-motivated, self-starter, effective time manager,
  •  Highly organized, efficient, detail oriented ,
  •  Proficient in MS Excel (no coding req.),
  •  Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications,
  •  Strong math foundation,
  •  Bachelor's Degree,
  •  Non-smoker.
